Psychotherapy
Do you ever find yourself stuck in a loop of “what ifs,” mentally rehearsing every possible worst-case scenario? Do you notice your mind pulling you into negative spirals that make everyday life feel heavier than it needs to? If you’re looking for a therapist who can sit with you in those moments, help you untangle the noise, and occasionally laugh with you along the way… you’re in the right place.
I specialize in helping individuals navigate life changes, transitions, and mood-related concerns, offering a grounded and practical approach to managing anxiety, stress, and emotional overwhelm. My work integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused strategies. However, I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all formula. Everyone is different, and I pull from these evidence-based tools whenever they’re helpful.
At the same time, therapy isn’t only about skills and structure. Sometimes you simply need space to talk, process, and vent - and that’s okay. My goal is to create a balance: a safe place to express what you’re carrying, while also guiding you toward practical, sustainable change that lasts well beyond our sessions.
My style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I try to bring humanity into the room, because therapy shouldn’t feel like a cold checklist - it should feel like real connection. We’ll work together at your pace.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a form of psychotherapy that helps individuals develop psychological flexibility by accepting their thoughts and feelings rather than fighting against them. Through mindfulness techniques and values clarification, ACT aims to help individuals take committed action towards living a rich, meaningful life. This evidence-based approach has been shown to be effective for a variety of mental health conditions.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a type of therapy that helps people change negative thoughts and behaviors to improve symptoms. It teaches how to challenge unhelpful thinking patterns and utilizes skills to retrain your brains thought process. CBT is considered frontline treatment for anxiety.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is a type of cognitive-behavioral therapy that emphasizes the psychosocial aspects of therapy. It focuses on building skills in four key areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.
